:)This has been discussed on another threat, I know, but for the overview, if we have some new people joining us and want to discuss it, I am starting this threat here and hope to get some Composers from everywhere to discuss the Theme of the film here. I have already sent a mail to webmaster@filmmusic.net to announce the project there, I will also try to put the message out to the songwriters guild of America, which can be found under www.songwriters.org. Hi... I might be interested in helping out with the music. Time and life alowing Let me know what the general idea is? Have composers score the different films, or the film as a whole?

Hi Christian (again), the way I see it the segments will be so different from one another in format, style, plot, etc.. that the music will be the only thing binding it. I see the score as one-three themes reprised throughout the project (not entirely) but with some changes made...it'll give the sense of unity to the entire piece. Oded.

ok... so how many composers will be needed? Do you have the amount needed?
Personaly I make orchestral scores primarily... so if another composer is more ambient - modern then it wont seem so binding. Also there can be a varrying quality in the instruments used... some people have 100$ sound liberary, others 5000...
So binding it all together with varrious composers attahed might be harder than expected

Hey, I'm not fixated on having more than one composer that will "handle the load"...orchestral is definitely the direction...I have in mind this haunting three notes motif for the main theeme

Yeah but a three note haunting motif in a film about "the coming" is quite similar In a few weeks I should get some time, and may try make a theme or something.

well nothing's written in stone -- a three thousand notes motif that is compelling would do the trick just as well as far as I'm concerned...
